ADIB confirms the credibility of the Ghina savings account and took all the necessary steps in a transparent manner as soon as it discovered the fraud.
As part of its commitment to maintain trust with its customers, shareholders, regulators and staff, ADIB took bold steps as soon as it suspected attempts to manipulate the results of the Ghina savings account prize draws. Accordingly, the Bank informed the concerned authorities and an investigation was initiated.
The bank also compensated the amounts through daily draws over 20 days during the months of July and August. No customer balances or accounts were affected as a result of this incident and the bank confirms the credibility of the Ghina prize draws.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank takes the integrity of its promotional campaigns and prize draws very seriously and has implemented further controls to avoid the occurrence of this issue in the future.
