ADIB launches Dana Bazaar for female entrepreneurs

ADIB Dana Bazaar

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a leading financial services group, has launched "Dana Bazaar" in conjunction with Dubai SME, to give female entrepreneurs with home-based businesses a platform to showcase their businesses to the UAE public. Dana Bazaar will take place on 10 – 12 December 2015 from 10am -10pm, at the Dubai sports City.

ADIB's "Dana Bazaar 2015" event will provide female entrepreneurs with exhibition booths free of charge to showcase and market their work.  Business categories at the event will include health and wellness, food preparations, fashion, perfumes, gifts and souvenirs, children items, stationary items and many more.

Nawal Al Bayari, Business Head at ADIB's Retail Segment and Head of CSR Council, commented on the initiative saying: "The UAE is a hub for women entrepreneurs who have creative ideas and major potential, but most female business owners here have home-based businesses and they find it difficult to market the goods they are selling to the public, or to access the platforms and spaces they need to showcase their work. Dana Bazar is a great place for them to start whether they are seeking to expand their market experience or build a customer base for their products. We believe that women are key contributors to the economic and cultural prosperity of the UAE, and as one of the leading banks in the UAE, we believe that it is our duty to empower women and invest in their ideas."

"Dana Bazaar 2015" is open for all nationalities to participate. Families are also welcome to show their support and enjoy three fun filled days that include stalls, seminars, workshops, and children's activities.

ADIB has previously adopted a number of initiatives to respond to the specific needs women require for their banking. The Dana Gold and Dana Diamond services for its VIP female customers and the recently introduced Al Dana Mastercard credit card with rewards dedicated to women are the most recent of these. The Dana Bazaar service adds to these initiatives by supporting the skills and expertise women can bring to business.
