How it Works:

 

Step 1:

Spend a minimum of AED 500 at participating outlets using ADIB Visa Covered Card.

 

Step 2:

Point-of-sale (POS) will prompt if you would like to convert the purchase to instalments, select Yes.

 

Step 3:

Select the EIP plan and the preferred tenure from the options on the machine and submit.

 

Once transaction is processed, you will receive a slip from the machine with the EIP details.

 

Upon successful conversion to EIP, a confirmation email will be sent to you on your registered email with ADIB.

EIP at Point-of-sale Terms and Conditions:

1. Selected customers can convert retail purchase transaction done on a valid Murabaha-based ADIB covered card into an Easy Instalment Plan (EIP) through the POS (point-of-sale) machine at the time of making the transaction.
2. The service is only applicable at select merchants.
3. Customer should not be overdue / delinquent at the time of booking the EIP.
4. The minimum transaction amount when selecting EIP is AED 500.
5. When selecting EIP, the customer will be entitled to full or partial waiver of the Murabaha Monthly Installment (Profit) in a proportional manner to the amount of the transaction that is related to EIP for the agreed upon tenor. Any such waiver shall be at the full discretion of ADIB, and approval of such waiver will not imply that ADIB would have obligation to repeat such action in future. In this case, the applicable monthly Murabaha profit rate in a proportional manner to the amount of the transaction that is related to EIP will be 0% for the agreed upon tenor, and with no processing fees.
6. The first installment and waived Profit, if any, will start from the subsequent month of the month in which the EIP transaction has been executed, and every month the equal instalment and the waived Profit will be reflected in monthly statement until the date of last installment.
7. Customer will have to continue to make at least minimum payment of the monthly used amount from the cover limit of his/her ADIB Covered Card to avoid violating his/her contractual obligation and affecting his/her credit rating
8. ADIB reserves the rights to decline a request by any customer to avail this facility based on the prevailing policies and procedures.
9. ADIB encourages customers to use their Covered cards only for necessary expenditures only.
10. By opting for this product, customer agrees to be bound by all other ADIB Covered Card Terms and Conditions that prohibit using ADIB Covered Card to purchase any non-Shari'a compliant products or services as determined by ADIB's Internal Shari’a Supervisory Committee including but not limited to alcohol, pork products, gambling, tobacco, casinos, bars, …etc.
