Ms. Maha Mohammed Al Qattan
Board Member, Non-Executive, Independent
Maha AlQattan is the Group Chief Sustainability Officer at DP World. Her leadership involves overseeing and developing of the organization’s response to climate change, education, and social inequality in the supply chain and logistics sector and the wider communities where DP World operates.
As CSO, Maha is instrumental in shaping and delivering the company's decarbonization strategy to support DP World’s Net Zero targets. She also oversees the company’s sustainability strategy, which is in line with the UN's SDGs and influences DP World's business commitments to customers, investors, partners and communities.
Previously, Maha served as DP World's Group Chief People Officer, a role she held for almost seven years. A critical milestone in her role was her reorganization and optimization of the HR department, renaming it the ‘People’ department to reflect the new strategy and approach to nurturing and developing DP World's global employee base.
Prior to joining DP World, Maha enjoyed a long and distinguished career in HR across the energy and real estate sectors. She successfully completed the HR Leadership Program during her time at GE where she was the HR Integration Leader, focusing on integrating Alstom's power and grid business into GE in the MENA region.
Beyond her role at DP World, Maha holds executive and non- executive board positions at DP World UAE region, Hindustan Ports Private Limited, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), and serves on the Board of Trustees for Universite Pantheon Assas.
Maha earned a Master's degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Human Resources from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is also a graduate of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development Promising Leader's program in collaboration with Duke University and INSEAD.
