Among the milestones in ADIB’s community outreach programme in 2014 was the donation of a new mosque to the citizens of Fujairah. The Omar Bin Al Khatab mosque, which opened to worshippers in November, was developed in close consultation with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments and will serve as a focal point of the community’s religious life. The impressive structure has two minarets and three domes, three entrances and separate ablution and other facilities for 1,500 male and 150 female worshippers, as well as residences for the Imam.
