What is Takaful Protection for Covered Cards?
Islamic Covered Card Takaful is an optional facility that offers protection in the unfortunate events of your Death, Permanent Total Disability, Critical Illness, Terminal Illness, Hospitalization, Involuntary Loss of Employment and Loss or misuse of your card
How much does it cost?
Your Takaful Protection contribution is only 89 fils for every AED100 of your closing monthly utilised amount. This amount includes the Takaful Protection installments and the Bank’s agency fees. So, for example, the Takaful Protection contribution for a utilised amount of AED 1,500 at the end of the month is only AED 13.35, and if your utilised amount at the end of the month is zero there is no Takaful Protection contribution at all. The Takaful Protection contribution is automatically included in your monthly statement.
What are the benefits?
In the Unfortunate event of Death, Permanent Total Disability, Terminal illness and Critical Illness get a cover up to AED 250,000
Covers your card’s minimum payments up to AED 4,000 for 6 months in case of your Involuntary Loss of Employment
Get AED 200 per day for up to 60 days if you get hospitalized for any reason
In the event of Loss or Misuse of your card get a cover up to AED 10,000 of your loss

Dear Cover Cardholders enrolled in ADIB Covered Card Takaful Scheme since 1st January 2015 onwards, we hereby inform you that your Takaful coverage on you ADIB Covered Card is now provided by Dubai Islamic Insurance & Reinsurance Company (AMAN) instead of Abu Dhabi National Takaful Company (TAKAFUL) with effect from 1st October 2017. Please note that there will not be any change in your Monthly Contribution Amount or your Takaful coverage & benefits.
